Baseball tryout score sheet
Where the evaluation form is one sheet per player, the score sheet puts the whole group on one page: a row per player, a column per station. It’s the sheet a station coach carries, or the summary you fill in at the end of the day.
No sign-up, no email. Print as many copies as you need.
| # | Player | Hitting | Exit velo | IF def | OF def | Arm velo | Pitch velo | Pop time | 60 yd | Athletic | Total | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Score against this group: 1 = well below, 2 = below, 3 = at level, 4 = above, 5 = well above. Leave a station blank if you didn’t see it.
What’s on it
- Tryout, evaluator, date and field.
- 20 player rows with columns for Hitting, Exit velo, IF def, OF def, Arm velo, Pitch velo, Pop time, 60 yd, Athletic.
- A total and a notes column for each player.
Rather do it on your phone?
TryoutSheet is this sheet on a phone: tap a player’s number, tap a score, film the rep. It works at the field without signal, adds up the stations with your weights, ranks the group, and carries the players you pick into your roster.
How to use it
- Write players in tryout-number order so every station coach’s sheet lines up.
- At a station, fill only that station’s column, then pass the sheets to one person to combine.
- Ratings are 1–5 against this group; measured stations take the best rep in mph or seconds.
- Don’t add mph and seconds into the total as they are. Turn each measured station into a 1–5 first (fastest fifth = 5), or let TryoutSheet do that math.
Questions
What’s the difference between a score sheet and an evaluation form?
The evaluation form is one page per player with room for notes. The score sheet is one page for the whole group, which is quicker at a station but has less room to write.
How do I total ratings and times together?
Put everything on the same scale first. A common way: rank the group on each measured station and turn the rank into a 1–5. Then multiply each station by its weight and add.
Is there a version for my phone?
TryoutSheet works like this sheet on a phone: tap a player number, tap a score, and it does the totals and weighting. Free for one tryout of up to 25 players.
